Tame your notifications before they ruin your games
There's little worse than a boss fight interrupted by a banner asking if you want to rate an app you opened once. Notifications are the silent enemy of mobile gaming, and taming them is easy.
Most phones now have a focus or do-not-disturb mode that you can trigger automatically when a game opens. Set it up once and your sessions get noticeably calmer. If your phone has a dedicated game mode, it usually handles this for you.
Beyond that, go through your apps and turn off the ones that beg for attention. Games are often the worst offenders, pinging you about daily rewards. You don't need five reminders a day to play something you already enjoy.
The payoff is both practical and mental. Fewer interruptions mean fewer mistakes in-game, and you stop reaching for your phone out of reflex. It's a small bit of housekeeping that quietly improves everything.
